The predicted salary is between 30756 - 34011 £ per year.

Starting salary £30,756pa with progression to £34,011pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance). 37 hours per week (hybrid working). Permanent contract.

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council are looking to appoint a Human Resources and Organisational Development Support Officer to join our HR Team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Human Resources and Organisational Development team, with a particular focus on Recruitment and Learning & Development. This will include:

  • Responding to routine enquiries through the shared inboxes
  • Drafting correspondence
  • Taking notes at meetings
  • General office duties
  • Producing purchase orders
  • Processing invoices
  • Managing year end
  • Updating the HR systems and maintaining their databases
  • Assisting with the administrative tasks of the recruitment process including facilitating assessments, arranging interviews, and supporting the administration management of the recruitment portal
  • Administering the Learning Management System along with booking and scheduling training courses
  • Producing reports and analysing data
  • Coordinating and facilitating the quarterly Corporate Induction for new starters

In this role you must have an eye for detail, be highly organised, and be an effective communicator both written and verbally. You must be adept at switching priorities and have excellent time management skills. You will at times deal with confidential matters, so discretion is very important. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.

You will be working in the heart of Welwyn Garden City in our vibrant office.
