The predicted salary is between 46376 - 49608 £ per year.

Starting salary £46,376pa with progression to £49,608pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance). 37 hours per week (hybrid working). Permanent contract.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Development Manager to join the Housing Development and Strategic Housing Team to support the delivery of affordable homes as part of the Affordable Housing Programme. You will work in partnership with registered providers to maximise delivery of good quality affordable housing through joint initiatives, section 106 contributions and other relevant delivery models.

You will project manage a portfolio of housing development schemes ranging from large to small scale from concept, feasibility, planning, procurement, and delivery. You will be educated to a degree level, Member of Chartered Institute of Housing, RIS or a housing related degree, or have equivalent experience. You will have experience of project management including up to date knowledge of legal processes within housing development.

You will have the confidence to make decisions independently. Good communication and negotiation skills are essential to be able to lead and develop multi-agency partnerships including working jointly with service teams within the council. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.

The role is hybrid working with the expectation of attending the office two days a week, dependent on service needs. The role includes evening working when required to attend meetings and public consultations. The postholder will have a current driving licence and use of a car to travel to sites and offices in and outside of the borough.
