We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic senior housing professional to lead our neighbourhoods service comprising tenancy management in our 9,000 council homes. This is an exciting opportunity to strategically and operationally lead and shape the Neighbourhood Service to further develop service outcomes and customer satisfaction for our tenants.

About the role: The Head of Neighbourhoods role sets the overall strategic direction to deliver excellent landlord service functions including tenancy and low level ASB interventions and enforcement, tenancy sustainment, estate management, neighbourhood improvements and complaint management and co-ordination. You will have strong operational leadership skills in managing performance, complaints and customer-focused services. The post holder will work effectively in collaboration with other departments, external partners and stakeholders to support the delivery of high quality, effective services to our customers, aligned to the achievement of the Council’s aims and objectives.

About you: We are seeking a professional holding the CIH level 4 qualification with significant knowledge and experience within Neighbourhood Services and regulation. The post holder will have a track record of delivering high quality services and continuous improvement. You will bring a passion for your service area with an excellent approach to customers and stakeholders, performance management skills and an innovative approach. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our housing services and offers the opportunity to shape service standards for our customers. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post. The postholder will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. The role is hybrid with the expectation of attending the office a minimum of 3 days a week, dependent on service requirements. Occasional out of hours working will be required to meet the needs of the service. This post is politically restricted.
