Starting salary £41,992pa with progression to £45,089pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance).

Ensuring our housing stock is maintained to the highest possible standard is a key priority for Welwyn Hatfield. Our commitment is to invest £150 million in people’s homes over the next five years with a target of being net zero by 2030. To achieve this, we are looking for a Building Surveyor (Stock Condition) to support this exciting long-term project.
What you will do:
- You will carry out a programme of inspections to our social housing portfolio, carrying out internal and external visits, collating information to be used for future investment opportunities.
- You will be required to assist the Repairs and Voids team in ensuring our housing stock is both safe and of a high quality for our tenants.
What will you need:
- You will be formally qualified in Building Studies.
- You should be highly experienced in diagnosing building faults and providing cost-effective solutions.
- This will give you the ability to identify repairs, draw up specifications, make technical decisions and solve complex problems.
- You should be knowledgeable regarding building standards and passionate about delivering customer focussed outcomes.
- The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
- You will have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
