You will play a key role in preventing and tackling anti‑social behaviour across the borough, working closely with residents, internal services and external partners to deliver effective, proportionate and victim‑focused interventions. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who is confident managing complex casework and passionate about improving neighbourhoods.

Key responsibilities

  • Investigate and manage reports of anti-social behaviour in line with relevant legislation, council policies and best practice
  • Develop and implement action plans to resolve ASB issues, taking a problem‑solving and victim‑centred approach
  • Gather evidence, conduct interviews, and prepare case files for legal action where necessary
  • Work closely with partners including Housing, Police, Social Services, youth services and registered providers
  • Use early intervention, warning letters, mediation and enforcement tools to prevent escalation
  • Attend case conferences, multi‑agency meetings and court hearings as required
  • Provide advice, guidance and regular updates to complainants and alleged perpetrators
  • Maintain accurate case records and produce reports and correspondence to a high standard

What we’re looking for

It is essential that you have:

  • Experience of working in an ASB, housing, community safety or enforcement‑related role
  • Sound knowledge of ASB legislation, enforcement powers and good practice
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload and deal with challenging situations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong partnership‑working and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and take balanced, proportionate decisions
  • Competent IT skills and experience using case management systems

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience of preparing cases for legal proceedings or court
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk assessment
  • Experience of working within a local authority or housing environment

This post is subject to a police vetting clearance check.
