Senior HR Advisor(RP0148)Starting salary £46,376 with progression to £49,608 through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance)37 hours per week (hybrid working)In this Senior HR Advisor role, you’llsupport the provision of a professional and comprehensive Human Resources service to meet the strategic aims and objectives of the Council.You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of a number of people related projects across the Council. On a day-to-day basis, you will upskill, coach, and support Managers through HR processes focusing on capability, building and consistency. You will offer expert guidance on matters related to resourcing, employee relations, retention, employee engagement and wellbeing.You’ll produce reports and provide analysis of key HR data for management, committees and for external bodies. You’ll lead on the development and continuous improvement of policies, templates and procedures to ensure that the HR service responds to legislative and technical changes and develop and maintain up to date policies and procedures. You will roll out and embed HR policies and procedures, ensuring understanding and adoption across all levels.You’ll deputise for the Human Resources and Organisational Development Manager, including the provision of advice on the full range of HR issues for senior managers.You will have experience of and understanding of local government services but other experience in similar fields will be considered. We’re looking for someone CIPD qualified at level 5 or above with significant experience advising managers on complex employee relations matters, and a sound understanding of employment law and the statutory local government service environment. You’ll have the ability to manipulate databases with accuracy and produce accurate data and insights to identify trends to support the development of the organisation. You’ll be highly organised with the ability to manage varied workload to a high standard and tight deadlines and support others to do the same.We offer an attractive working environment in the heart of Welwyn Garden City, with close transport links and amenities.
