The predicted salary is between 38350 - 41254 £ per year.

Starting salary £38,350pa with progression to £41,254pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance). Permanent contract, 37 hours per week (hybrid working).

Key Responsibilities

  • To uphold the licensing objectives, including public safety, prevention of crime and disorder, protection of children from harm and public nuisance.
  • Work with a range of businesses, legal representatives, responsible authorities, members and residents to carry out consultations, determine and issue licences in accordance with the Council’s scheme of delegation and attend hearings where necessary.
  • Provide specialist technical advice, and where necessary make decisions, respond to customers, officers, members and other service requests and enquiries.
  • Support the operational development and delivery of the Regulatory services department.
  • Work alone and as part of a team delivering statutory and other services with set targets and service standards, to make a positive contribution towards improving the health and environment of the Borough through advice, education, and support for enforcement action.
  • Carry out enforcement required to fulfil the Council’s statutory licensing and other duties, in accordance with the law, local policy and current national and other relevant guidance and having regard to the Council’s strategic priorities.
  • Willingness to attend court, committees, or tribunals to give evidence.
