Salary: £41,992 to £45,089 per annum (starting £41,992 with progression to £45,089 through annual increments subject to satisfactory service, inclusive of outer fringe allowance). Permanent contract, 37 hours per week (hybrid working).
Key responsibilities
The role of the Environmental Crime Lead Officer is to assist the Environmental Health Manager in undertaking proactive and reactive enforcement in relation to environmental crime such as filthy and verminous properties negatively impacting local amenity, illegal encampments, fly grazing, vehicle and related enforcement functions. The Lead Officer has managerial responsibility for 3 street wardens and the delivery of the work programme. The role works in collaboration with other services and senior management to ensure services are joined up appropriately and aligned to the achievement of the Council's aims and objectives.

We’re seeking an experienced Enviro-crime professional with a passion for the environment and community. You should bring excellent technical knowledge and leadership skills. A UK driving licence and access to a car are required. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential.
