The predicted salary is between 35992 - 45089 £ per year.
Starting salary £41,992 pa with progression to £45,089 pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance). 37 hours per week (hybrid working). Permanent contract. Ensuring our housing stock is maintained to the highest possible standard is a key priority for Welwyn Hatfield. Our commitment is to invest £150 million in people’s homes over the next five years with a target of being net zero by 2030. To achieve this, we are looking for a Building Surveyor (Stock Condition) to support this exciting long‑term project.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a programme of inspections to our social housing portfolio, including internal and external visits.
- Collate information to be used for future investment opportunities.
- Assist the Repairs and Voids team in ensuring our housing stock is safe and of a high quality for our tenants.
Qualifications and Skills
- Formally qualified in Building Studies.
- Highly experienced in diagnosing building faults and providing cost‑effective solutions.
- Ability to identify repairs, draw up specifications, make technical decisions and solve complex problems.
- Knowledgeable regarding building standards and passionate about delivering customer‑focussed outcomes.
- Excellent spoken English and ability to converse at ease with members of the public.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
