Welshpool Town Council is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Temporary Information Centre Assistant to join our team at the Welshpool Information Centre.
This is an important role helping to provide a welcoming and informative service to residents and visitors, promoting Welshpool and the surrounding area while supporting the day-to-day running of the Information Centre.
The role includes:
- Welcoming visitors and providing friendly, professional customer service.
- Providing local and tourist information, including attractions, events and services.
- Responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and email.
- Assisting with sales, handling payments and maintaining stock displays.
- Ensuring the Information Centre remains clean, tidy, welcoming and well-presented.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Information Centre.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is friendly, approachable and enjoys working with the public.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Is reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently.
- Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail.
- Has an interest in Welshpool and the surrounding area.
- Is available to work every other Saturday.
Previous experience in customer service, retail or tourism would be desirable but is not essential, as training will be provided.
