To protect, manage and enhance the reputation of Principality Stadium and therefore it\’s owner and operator the Welsh Rugby Union, as an iconic \’must-visit\’, globally renowned multi-event venue.
Salary: £30,000.00 pro rata

Hours of work: 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Responsible to: Corporate Communications Manager
Contractual status: Fixed term (3 months), full-time.
The Person
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- The role requires a self-starter with the ability to own projects and deliver results as part of the wider communications and digital strategy
- Someone with a passion for Communications who will thrive in a diverse working environment across multiple projects simultaneously
- Relevant event industry experience and/or knowledge will be an advantage
- A passion for sports, music and entertainment is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
- IT skills, specifically Microsoft package
- Ability to communicate and work through the medium of Welsh is desirable
The Role
Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities
- Delivering world class communications around \’the greatest stadium in the world\’ through effective trade and consumer PR
- Working across the business to help deliver communications which continues to enhance the profile of Principality Stadium and maintain its current position as a leading events venue within the industry
- Working with stakeholders (for example, South Wales Police, TfW and Cardiff Council) on integrated comms planning for major events
- Maintain Principality Stadium social media channels which includes content creation
- Support Head of Media and Corporate Communication Manager on Stadium reputation communication when required
- Build and maintain relationships within the sports and entertainment industry media
- Work with major event holders (including non-rugby)
- Media liaison management for rugby events working alongside the WRU\’s retained media agency on matchday accreditation
- Support matchday media operations
- Manage all filming and access requests into the stadium
- Maintain stadium/Trade/Entertainment database
- Maintain stadium event record database
- Support Stadium Operations team on events and stadium promotional activities
- Support PSE to promote stadium and event hospitality
- Demonstrate the value of Comms to the business through measurement and reporting
- Contribute to the WRU\’s internal communications function

WRU Requirements
The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a Valid UK Driver\’s License is desirable.
