Working alongside the Welsh Rugby Travel Manager in the provision and coordination of rugby logistical requirements for Wales National squads, including: Wales Senior Women’s National Rugby Team, Wales Men’s U18 National Rugby Team, Wales Men’s Exiles National Rugby Team, WRU Match officials & WRU Staff travelling on official business.
You will provide the related logistical requirements including reservation of flights, hotels, coach, ferry, train, parking, car hire and all other models of transport. You will have excellent communication skills to enable you to provide the necessary support to team managers relating to all logistical rugby related requirements. You will also be required to support Managers, Squads, and Coordinators across the relevant rugby duties.

Fixed Term Contract, 12 Months – Full Time Hours
Salary up to £25,000 per annum based on previous experience.

The Person
The WRU group are looking for an individual who has previous experience and knowledge of booking travel arrangements and of working with Elite Sporting Teams. This will include dealing with various airlines, hotels & travel suppliers including knowledge of flight booking system Amadeus.
The Role
Duties to include the provision of all Rugby related logistical requirements to include reservations of flights, hotels, coach, ferry, train, parking, car hire and all other modes of transport.
Assisting Teams and staff with Travel Visas processing as and when required.
Liaising with host unions in respect of all rugby related logistical requirements.
Support Managers, squads and coordinators across the relevant Rugby tournaments.
Administration duties such as processing invoices – payments to our suppliers.
Carrying out duties in support of the WRU Group Strategic Mission, Purpose and Values.
WRU Requirements
The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Valid UK driving licence is required.
This role is subject to a standard DBS disclosure and reviewed regularly in line with recruitment policy requirements.
