There are new and exciting opportunities to join the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (WAST), People Services Team, in the role of a People Services Partner.
Successful applicants will work across Wales to support the People Business Leader in delivering a comprehensive range of people services activities across the Trust, such as employment legislation, performance management, monitoring workforce KPIs, embedding good people management practices, and developing managerial and team capabilities.
The post holder will play a key role in ensuring effective and efficient management of people by providing highly specialised expert advice to the business on a wide range of people services.
Main duties of the job
The People Services Partner will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of people services, managing complex caseloads, leading job evaluation, sickness absence management, training, and directing the workload of the People Relations Advisors.
The role involves building effective relationships and championing partnership working with Trade Unions and Professional Organisations at all levels.
While the role is funded for full-time work, we welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible working arrangements. The role\’s location is flexible, combining home working with attending a Welsh Ambulance Service Trust base. Some travel across Wales will be required.

Applicants will start at the bottom of the pay band for the position, with options to apply for a higher salary based on relevant experience, in line with the Trust’s Starting Salary Procedure.

Qualifications and Knowledge
- Masters level education or equivalent practical experience in a WF&OD role
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, or working towards it
- Knowledge of NHS Wales Policies and Directives related to health
Knowledge and Experience
- Significant experience of operational HR issues in a large, complex organisation
- Proven ability to inspire and manage a team
