This post is within the Operations Directorate, Resourcing team and requires an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who responds positively to new challenges. This is a new post developed to maintain, audit and develop the Resourcing teams rostering systems and department applications. The post holder will work closely with other key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure Resourcing systems are at the leading edge of digital development within Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and auditing the Resourcing digital rostering and department systems, accessed by Operations Directorate workforce, covering Emergency Front Line, Control Room, Integrated Care and Ambulance Care staff, in collaboration with the Resourcing Management Team and Trust ICT Technical Leads. This also extends to department work management systems and any future internal developments deemed appropriate. GRS by TotalMobile and ShiftTrack by Alvaria are the current Rostering systems in use within the Welsh Ambulance Services University Trust, however the role and responsibilities of the post holder will be applicable and transferable should the Trust choose to move to alternative Rostering Systems. The post holder will aid the Resourcing Management Team in the resolution and audit of system queries and developments relating to resourcing systems in place within the department.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Essential criteria: Educated to degree level in a professionally relevant subject, or demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience to an equivalent level. Knowledge and experience of computer related Rostering Systems used in Emergency Services or able to demonstrate system experience and knowledge gained from within a similar role. Computer literate with practical knowledge of Microsoft O365 products such as Outlook, Excel, PowerApps etc.
  • Desirable criteria: Knowledge of management information systems and/or rostering systems.

Experience

  • Essential criteria: Working knowledge of Rostering Systems such as GRS or equivalent. Advanced Keyboard skills to support timely and accurate data entry across multiple software platforms. Experience in Rostering in both Emergency and Non-Emergency environments.
  • Desirable criteria: NHS experience. Experience of developing policy and providing guidance regarding the utilisation of Rostering or Digital Systems.
