An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Operations Quality team, Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust, for a Quality Auditor (Dental). The successful candidates will be joining the new CPSS quality audit team. The successful candidate will be integral to providing communications including coaching bulletins and SWAY where themes and learning are required to share learning and improve or reinforce practices. The base location will be confirmed on recruitment.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will produce audit reports evidencing quality assurance for our call answering in line with the IAED performance standards. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

  • Essential criteria
  • Dental Nurse registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent including Maths and English.
  • Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) or Call Prioritisation Streaming System (CPSS) certification.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity issues in relation to learning and development.
  • Evidence of undertaking additional skills training, willingness to be developed further.
  • Desirable criteria
    • International Academies of Emergency Dispatch EMD-Q or CPSS-Q Qualification.
    • IAED Mentoring qualification.

    Experience

    • Essential criteria
    • Significant experience as a Dental Nurse
    • Significant experience as an EMD or CPSS call handler.
    • Evidence of a proactive approach to own CPD and development of professional practice.
    • Evidence of working as part of a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team.
  • Desirable criteria
    • Experience of delivering learning.
    • Experience of supporting staff development.
    • Experience of data analysis and producing reports.
    • Experience of acting in a mentoring role.
