The SEO Copywriter is responsible for creating high-quality, brand-consistent digital content across a range of marketing and commercial touchpoints, including web, email, social media, and campaign assets. The role focuses on delivering engaging, audience-first copy that supports client performance objectives while adhering to brand guidelines, SEO best practices, and localisation requirements.

The SEO Copywriter works collaboratively with Creative Operations, Designers, Merchandisers, and Localisation teams to ensure content is accurate, effective, and optimised for global markets. This role requires sound judgement, strong prioritisation skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Write compelling, brand-aligned copy for digital and marketing assets including product descriptions, websites, landing pages, email campaigns, social media posts, and marketing collateral, using British English tone and spelling.
  • Apply SEO best practices and a mobile-first approach to all written content to support discoverability and performance.
  • Ensure all copy adheres to client brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and quality standards.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand voice.
  • Incorporate feedback constructively and refine content to meet stakeholder and client expectations.
Localisation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate localisation workflows with internal localisation teams by providing clear project guidelines, requirements, and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative Operations, Graphic Designers, Merchandisers, and other client stakeholders, including participation in team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions.
  • Contribute actively to a Winning Together culture by sharing knowledge and supporting team objectives.
Market & Audience Insight
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor research to remain up to date with industry trends, content best practices, and audience behaviour.
  • Use insights to inform content recommendations and identify opportunities to enhance client brand impact.
Experience
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience writing digital marketing or online commercial content, preferably within e-commerce, retail, or performance marketing environments.
  • Experience supporting retail brands; softlines and/or hardlines experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Advertising, Writing, Media Communications) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of creative development and website production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML is desirable.
