Job Responsibilities
Welocalize is seeking Metadata Specialists with backgrounds in various locales and languages. You will work onsite at a leading consumer technology company, contributing to products released in target markets worldwide. Your role involves evaluating the quality of both written and spoken content related to your linguistic and geographic expertise. You may also work on content review and creation for Music and TV applications. Collaboration with international teams to monitor and improve product quality and partner data integrations is essential.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of accountability for the Bilingual Metadata Specialist:
- QA various products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases
- Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and quality manner
- Stay motivated and deliver results on repetitive tasks
- Prioritize tasks and issues efficiently
- Maintain native-level language skills and cultural awareness
- Deliver results in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Be highly organized with attention to detail and quality
- Navigate ambiguity and make informed judgments

Experience
- Native fluency in one of the following languages: German, French, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, or Russian
- Experience with advanced spreadsheet tools
- At least one year of experience as a QA, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Basic knowledge of iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV
- Up-to-date awareness of technical language usage in the target language
Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
- Ability to use a computer mouse and keyboard for extended periods
- Exposure to potentially offensive content, including sexual, health-related, racial, or violent material
