SUMMARY
Welltower is one of the world\’s largest real estate investment trusts with a global portfolio of over 100,000 Senior Housing & Wellness Housing units. Our UK team, based in London, manages a large portfolio of senior housing assets (over 10,000 units across >130 assets) and is looking for further investments through acquisitions and development. We have a robust pipeline (exceeding £1 billion) and in order to support the growth of the business, we are currently looking to add an Associate to our team. As an Associate at Welltower, you\’ll be responsible for analyzing potential investments in seniors housing. We\’re seeking real estate investment professionals with strong financial modelling skills, real estate market knowledge and the curiosity to learn about the senior housing sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Associate, you\’ll be responsible for:
- Assessing and selecting a large volume of investment opportunities across the risk spectrum (development to core) and the capital stack
- Building financial models and underwriting new investments
- Leading the process of drafting investment committee recommendations and seeking internal approvals
- Supporting / managing the acquisition process from the initial valuation and market analysis and then through deal structuring, detailed due diligence and closing
- Engaging in asset management activities such as analysis of portfolio performance, evaluation of approval requests from operators and review of annual budgets

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- A minimum of 3-7 years of relevant work experience in real estate investments. Relevant senior living experience a plus but not required.
- Advanced proficiency in real estate modelling in Microsoft Excel (a modelling test will be part of the hiring process)
Education:
- BS or BA in Finance, Economics, or similar business or analytical field required.
