SUMMARY
The Senior Indirect Tax Accountant will be responsible for supporting the business across all aspects of indirect tax reporting, compliance, governance and advisory work. The role will cover VAT, CIS, stamp duty and SDLT, while also providing practical indirect tax support to the Tax Transactions team on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, financing and other corporate transactions. This is a hands-on, 100% office-based role suited to someone with strong technical indirect tax knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work closely with finance, legal, commercial and transactions teams.

TRAVEL
Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in VAT compliance and advisory work, ideally in a corporate, real estate, construction, infrastructure, financial services or professional services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK VAT rules.
- Familiarity with CIS compliance and reporting.
- Exposure to Stamp Duty and SDLT matters, particularly in relation to property or corporate transactions.
- Experience preparing or reviewing VAT returns and related reconciliations.
- Ability to interpret tax legislation and guidance and apply it to practical scenarios.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with reconciliations, data analysis and reporting.
- Experience supporting transactions, including acquisitions, disposals or restructurings preferred.
- Real estate or property VAT experience, including options to tax, TOGCs, leases, developments or capital goods scheme matters preferred.
- Experience dealing with HMRC enquiries or tax audits preferred.
- Knowledge of Making Tax Digital requirements preferred.
- Experience working with external advisers and managing advisory input preferred.
- One or more of the following preferred: ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent tax/accounting qualification.
