The position
As a Field Engineer, you’ll be involved in every part of our business. From helping acquire essential data toplanning long-term well development, you’ll organize, run, and report operations in the field environment. Your training will be hands-on as you learn about the energy industry and become familiar with operatingour specialized technology. You’ll be asked to learn a lot quickly, and you’ll be given responsibility andsupport to make your impact and start becoming a leader in our business.The first 6 months will primarily be based at our workshop in Aberdeen to gain knowledge of ourspecialized equipment and technology with a view to assisting in offshore operations.
Key responsibilities
- Hold HSE and SQ in the highest regard for all your daily activities
- Job load out and back loads, performing offshore operations including equipment testing andpreparation, execution of complex interventions operations, rig up/down on wellsite.
- Follow detailed company processes and procedures to maintain an industry leading level of servicequality.
- Assisting our experienced team when performing large scale operations
- Undertaking technical, safety, and shop/office responsibilities as assigned by the OperationsManager
- Upholding our high level of customer service at all times
- Complete end of well reporting as and when required
- Maintaining equipment and facilities in an orderly and workable condition
The candidate
- HND/BEng or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline, although this is notessential.
- Previous experience in downhole interventions and electric line is preferable, but training will begiven. Plug setting and redress experience O well completions including Liner hanger deploymentswill be advantageous
- Detailed problem solver with a keen interest in all types of engineering and technology.
- Working, understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic engineering principals and be ableto grasp new ideas quickly.
- Able to complete the standard requirements to travel offshore and abroad, e.g. offshore medicaland survival.
- Highly motivated individual who is willing to work under pressure and in varying remote conditionson an ad hoc basis.
- Have strong IT ability. Should be able to troubleshoot in a Windows environment while in remotelocations.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel. Should be confident and capable oflearning to use bespoke software quickly.
