The purpose of this role is to support the business with all aspects of shipping and logistics in compliance with Welltec supply chain procedures.

The Logistics Department supports Welltec's UK and offshore operations by coordinating the movement of equipment and materials both domestically and internationally. The team is responsible for customs compliance, import and export documentation, freight coordination, asset management, and the safe handling of dangerous goods.
Working closely with Field personnel, Freight Forwarders, HM Customs and other regulatory bodies, the department ensures all equipment movements are fully compliant, accurately documented, and delivered in line with operational requirements. The team plays a critical role in maintaining service continuity and supporting offshore activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely and costâeffective shipping of all equipment whilst adhering to standard operating procedures, applicable laws and Welltec's global QHSE Management systems. Reporting to the Operations Manager your main duties include the following:
- Recording and maintaining detailed information on file for all import and export shipments
- Ensuring applications for Customs guarantee are done timeously.
- Ensuring all HM Customs and Excise requirements are adhered to specifically concerning the movement of FCG and RGR goods.
- Completing intrata statistical information for HM Customs and excise and checking monthly MSS sheets against Welltec records
- Ensuring all equipment movements are in accordance to load out list/manifest.
- Help with outbound shipments of items, which involve packaging, strapping, and wrapping.
- Handling of dangerous goods and offshore shipments
- Create delivery tickets / proforma invoices (including customs status, value, tariff codes for each item for equipment going out on jobs.
- Prepare commercial invoice and packing list for freight going outside of the UK.
- Request quotes and arrange transport through our Freight Forwards.
- Provide clearance instructions for imports into the UK.
- Upkeep of Asset Management with respect to movements in and out of the base.
- Checking of internal freight invoices and rental invoices
- Arrange for inspection and certification checks of CCU hired by Welltec.
- Train and act as mentors for new Field personnel
- Have overall responsibility for the stores.
- Assist with general office duties â filing, scanning, and archiving.
- Work flexibly to meet operational demands, including extended or unpredictable hours during peak periods and participation in an onâcall rota. Overtime will be paid for time worked outside normal working hours.
The candidate should be a wellâorganized and handsâon individual with a strong supply chain or material logistics track record, preferably within the oil and gas sector. They should have detailed knowledge of the regulations for Transporting of Dangerous Goods by Air and sea, be proficient in Excel and Word, and computer literate. A proven competence in HM Customs and Excise regulations for import and export is essential, along with very good communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision software would be advantageous. The right candidate will pay great attention to detail and be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines. As a Logistics Coordinator, it is important to be a team player, serviceâminded and able to independently take initiative and assist colleagues when possible.
