We are looking to appoint a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a temporary contract until 31st July 2027, beginning on 2nd November 2026 or sooner. The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated support for a Year 1 pupil with type 1 diabetes and significant communication needs, working closely with teaching staff, medical professionals and parents to promote learning, independence, wellbeing and full participation in school life. Main areas of responsibility
- In line with the pupil's medical plan, provide medical and pastoral care to support their specific medical condition, including organising, maintaining, and cleaning equipment
- Ensure accurate records are kept and shared as required in relation to the pupil's medical condition, including with parents
- In accordance with the TA Level 3 job description, support the pupil's learning needs under the direction of the class teacher
