Lunchtime Supervisor/ Pupil Support Assistant Barnsley, South Yorkshire Β£5596 per annum equates to Β£12.45 per hour 10 hours p/w term time ONLY 38 weeks per annum

THE ROLE

As Pupil Support Assistant you are to provide supervision for children during the mid-day break to ensure maintenance of good order, good behaviour, discipline and the safety and welfare of students. Some duties will include:

  • Building relationships with pupils and staff
  • Supporting children during mealtimes
  • Understanding the needs of the pupils with SEN (Special Education Needs)
  • Personal care
  • Working in line with schools policies and procedures

THE CANDIDATE

  • Basic evidence of competence in English
  • Interest in working in a special education school
  • An understanding/ interest of working with children/ young people with SEN / SEND needs
  • IDEALLY experience of supervising children/ younger people

SALARY/ HOURS Starting salary for a PSA Pupil Support Assistant is Β£5596 actual annual salary equates to Β£12.45 per hour working 10 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only (38 weeks per year) + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust THIS ROLE IS TO START ON 1ST SEPTEMBER 2025
