As a Cleaner, you will carry out a full range of cleaning duties across teaching spaces, offices and communal areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment (mopping, sweeping, buffing, suction cleaning and machine scrubbing).
  • Cleaning internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities.
  • Emptying bins and removing waste safely.
  • Carrying out specialist cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling.
  • Replenishing hygiene supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls).
  • Conducting routine equipment safety checks and basic maintenance.
  • Reporting damage, faults or concerns promptly.
  • Locking and unlocking school premises and ensuring site security.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times.
  • Contributing directly to a safe learning environment for young people.
