We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and consistent Inclusion Support Worker to support our students at Park House. The primary role of an Inclusion Support Worker is to assist learners in matters related to inclusion, ensuring they engage in a wide range of activities safely and effectively, improving their personal, vocational and academic skills, knowledge and attendance over time.
Working directly with students and parents, successful candidates will need exceptional communication skills and an understanding of contextual issues, including safeguarding. A full clean driving licence is essential.
Your role will require you to provide children with a 'secure base' in school:
- Help them to regulate their emotions
- Model the role of a trusting adult
- Support them to form and maintain trusting relationships with others
- Maintain a calm and consistent approach and assert appropriate boundaries
- Encourage children to reflect on what goes wrong in a way that does not induce shame
