We are seeking a dedicated Strategic SENDCO to join us in a job-share model for a maternity cover. In this role, your primary focus will be on the vital administrative and legal paperwork-predominantly drafting, managing, and reviewing EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)-and ensuring all statutory requirements are met to the highest standard. To give you the space to excel at this targeted work, you will share the SENDCO responsibilities with an In-School Co-SENDCO (an experienced teacher stepping up to gain SEN leadership experience). They will lead on day-to-day classroom adaptation, operational support, routine parent communication, and liaison with external agencies.,
- Oversee and lead the writing, submission, and annual review of EHCPs.
- Ensure full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and Lincolnshire County Council statutory timelines.
- Monitor SEN funding allocations and statutory documentation.
- Partner with the Co-SENDCO to ensure seamless coordination across strategic and operational SEN provision., True Flexibility: Hours and working days are genuinely negotiable to suit your work-life balance.
- Targeted Focus: Strategic paperwork and statutory compliance are protected from daily classroom interruptions.
- A True Partnership: Share the role with an established internal teacher who handles daily operational tasks, parent contact, and agency liaison on the ground.
- National Award for SEN Co-ordination (NASENCO) or significant proven SENDCO experience.
- Expert knowledge of the EHCP process and statutory SEND frameworks.
- Exceptional written communication and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset to work effectively alongside a Co-SENDCO.
