Are you a recently qualified Quantity Surveyor looking to build your career within the Groundworks and Civil Engineering sector? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience across a variety of projects while working alongside experienced commercial and operational professionals in a supportive environment with clear career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Measuring and quantifying construction drawings
  • Preparing cost estimates, valuations, and project budgets
  • Assisting in the development and monitoring of work programmes
  • Assessing project variations and supporting cost control measures
  • Monitoring project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle
  • Attending site visits, progress meetings, and client meetings as required
  • Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management
  • Supporting business development and the promotion of future projects
  • Applying industry standards, contractual requirements, and best practices
  • Working closely with the Commercial and Civils Teams to ensure successful project delivery

Key Skills

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Good understanding of construction processes and commercial principles
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software packages
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
