About this role: Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division is seeking a Coverage Lead located in the UK to focus on the review and analysis of new or changing regulations and their impacts to CIB or regional businesses, including Capital Markets, Sales and Trading businesses related to interest rates, credit, foreign exchange, equity, futures, commodity, financing and exchange-traded transactions, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Investment Banking businesses. The successful candidate will perform this function in connection with regulations originating in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and other regions as needed.

In this role, you will:

  • Review, analyze, summarize, and document proposed and final regulations to help determine applicability and impact to CIB or regional businesses or functions and what steps may be necessary to ensure conformance with those regulations.
  • Coordinate large working groups and drive internal dialogue, consult key stakeholders, and document relevant deliverables for new or changing regulations impacting all lines of businesses through applicability review, impact analysis and gap assessment conversations with CIB compliance, legal, control, business subject matter experts and impacted process owners.
  • Present at senior management forums to facilitate the socialization, prioritization, and resource alignment to support implementation of new/modified regulations.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and utilize Excel spreadsheets and workflow tools for capturing impact analysis, gap assessments and implementation plans.
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products and facilitate decision making conversations.
  • Execute and support pre-implementation activities.
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex regulatory/compliance issues and potential solutions.
  • Experience with Commercial Banking and CIB Investment Banking, CRE, and/or Markets Business lines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
  • Facilitation experience leading meetings and group discussions.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
