About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Compensation Manager to lead the International compensation function. Through team leadership, client and stakeholder management, this role will be responsible for ensuring that compensation strategy, design and implementation most effectively supports this growing platform with particular focus on corporate and investment banking and a broad range of other commercial, control and support functions.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop a team of individual contributors in roles with moderate complexity and risk
- Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers
- Develop and implement compensation programs to ensure requirements are met in accordance with internal policy and governmental requirements
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Be responsible for managing the compensation operations for one or more business units
- Provide guidance to others based on organization goals and company policy
- Review existing and proposed compensation laws and regulations and takes or recommends corrective action
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions to meet moderate to high risk deliverables
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including more experienced managers, as well as interact directly with external customers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Compensation
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Partner with the regulatory team to support compliance with regulations and appropriate implementation and communication of compensation structures
Required Qualifications:
- Significant Compensation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Proven track record managing teams
