Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead the team and deliver a high‑quality community pharmacy experience at our Thornhill Pharmacy in Southampton.

Pharmacy hours are 9:00AM – 6:00PM, Monday‑Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the pharmacy team, ensuring excellent patient and customer service.
  • Oversee dispensing of approximately 8,500 items per month, including all NHS essential services, private and Covid vaccines, flu shots, pharmacy first services and community blisters.
  • Support the team of 2 full‑time qualified pharmacists and other pharmacy staff in daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with GPh C registration and relevant regulations.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and adopt new technology such as the PMR system and centralised dispensing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MPharm degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated management experience in a community pharmacy setting.
  • Current GPh C registration at the start of employment.
  • Experience with NHS services, community dispensing and vaccine administration is desirable.
