Based in Bedford, initially for a 9-month FTC, we’re looking for a commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead exciting campaigns that drive awareness, footfall and revenue across our vibrant pub estate in the UK and France. This is a hands-on role where strategy meets creativity. You’ll shape how our pubs show up in the market – from seasonal campaigns and menu launches to local marketing initiatives that make each pub the heart of its community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated multi-channel marketing strategies to drive awareness, footfall and revenue across our pubs in line with the Annual Marketing Plan.
- Establish positioning, identify target audiences and develop marketing plans (tactical and central) with specific objectives across our key trading styles in the UK and in France, driving consumer visiting occasions and frequency.
- Make sure each pub has the tools to market its business locally to generate profitable sales, supporting the execution where necessary.
- Develop the food and drink offer across our key trading styles to drive volume growth.
- Champion the customer and use insight to influence campaign, range, concept and menu development across the business.
- Plan, create and execute marketing campaigns in line with the Marketing Calendar for seasonal promotions, events and launches.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality design, content and promotional materials (print, video, online), working closely with external agencies and in-house content creators and designers.
- Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance and ROI.
- Collaborate with Sales, Digital, F&B, Events and Operations teams to ensure marketing efforts support commercial objectives and deliver value.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and spend across channels.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.
- Co-coach and develop the Marketing Executive.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, ideally in the hospitality or travel industry.
- Strong understanding of the marketing funnel and marketing tools and platforms.
- Proficient in content creation, social media management and marketing automation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management and organisational abilities.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for branding and design.
- Comfortable analysing data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Budget management skills.
- Strong knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop or InDesign.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
