Learning & Development Partner - Wells & Co. - Bedford, Bedfordshire Company Description Celebrating 150 yrs of history, we are a family brewer with managed pubs, a thriving Pub Partner estate and English pubs across France. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for an exceptional Learning & Development Partner to help them thrive and grow. Working closely with the People Director, you'll shape and deliver our Group-wide learning and development strategy, creating engaging, practical learning solutions that build capability, support career development and enhance the experience of both our colleagues and guests. You'll develop clear learning pathways, champion a culture of continuous development and ensure our people have the skills, confidence and tools to succeed. Key to success will be the ability to Influence and empower leaders and managers to take ownership of colleague development. You'll be highly organised, data-driven and confident managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes. Position Where no two days are the same, you will… Shape and deliver our Group Learning & Development strategy, making sure it supports our people, business goals and values. Use insight, data and feedback to understand what our teams need and create learning solutions that make a real difference. Build engaging learning experiences across the colleague journey, from apprenticeships and onboarding through to career development, leadership and succession. Design blended learning solutions that are practical, accessible and aligned to the 70/20/10 principles. Create practical tools, resources and learning pathways that help our people and managers take ownership of their growth. Create inclusive learning opportunities that support colleagues across different roles, locations and stages of their careers. Work closely with the People Director, People Team and leaders across the business to build capability and support future success. Collaborate across teams and locations, including the UK and France, to create a joined-up approach to learning and share best practice. Lead and support our Hospitality Trainers across the UK and France, ensuring our approach to learning is aligned and impactful. Build strong relationships with external partners, training providers and industry contacts to keep our learning offer fresh, relevant and effective. Use feedback, data and business outcomes to measure impact and continually improve how we develop our people. Requirements You’re someone who loves seeing people grow and thrive. You’ll bring energy, creativity and a practical approach to learning, along with: Ideally being CIPD qualified (or equivalent L&D/coaching qualification) and experience in a Learning & Development, Talent or People role. Experience designing engaging learning solutions, ideally within a multi-site, hospitality or fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of blended learning, training needs analysis and workplace development. Experience supporting areas such as apprenticeships, onboarding, career pathways and leadership development. The confidence to coach, influence and build great relationships with people at all levels. Strong organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. A data-led mindset, using feedback and insight to improve learning experiences. Experience working with external providers, apprenticeship partners or digital learning platforms would be a bonus.
