Situated in Woolmer Green, a picturesque part of Hertfordshire, The Chequers is an ideal choice for business lunches, celebratory meals or just a light bite and drink with friends. The pub has recently undergone a transformational refurbishment and has reopened encompassing an undercover terrace for alfresco dining, large garden, event space for private hire or business meetings and a small selection of stylish guest rooms.

Your role as chef:

  • Prepare, cook and present perfect food in accordance with company standards therefore exceeding guest satisfaction at every eating occasion.
  • Take PRIDE in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Adhere accurately and consistently to portion controls.
  • Carry out stock rotation to ensure all food items are within their shelf life, including maintaining correct storage conditions.
  • Ensure the kitchen operation is maintained to the highest of standards with regards to cleanliness and maintenance.
