Pharmacist Manager
Location: Penrith, community pharmacy situated within a health centre that houses two GP surgeries.
Overview
This pharmacy operates Monday‑Friday, 9am‑6pm, dispensing up to 8,500 items per month, providing all NHS services, supporting 3 substance‑misuse patients, and supplying 14 community blisters weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the pharmacy team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for patients and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including GPhC registration and maintenance.
- Support the day‑to‑day operation of the pharmacy, encompassing dispensing, blisters, and NHS services.
- Participate in structured pharmacy visits and development programmes conducted by Area and Regional Operations Managers.
- Utilise new technology such as the PMR system and centralised dispensing to improve service quality.
- Promote mental health and wellbeing within the pharmacy and support staff through Mental Health Awareness training.
Qualifications
- Completed an MPharm degree or equivalent.
- Previous management experience within a community pharmacy.
- GPhC registration by the start date.
- Willingness to enrol in the Independent Prescribing course (fully supported).
