Wells Cathedral School seeks to appoint an outstanding and committed professional to lead the Economics and Business Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership and development of the department and for the delivery of high-quality teaching at A Level Economics. They will contribute actively to departmental improvement through the sharing of best practice and by providing appropriate support and extension for pupils.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the post-holder may be offered associated pastoral and general duties and be willing to play an active role in the co-curricular life of the School. At all times, they will act in accordance with the School’s ethos, aims, and policies.
Qualified Teacher Status and secure knowledge and understanding of the concepts and skills essential to success for pupils in A level Economics and Business are essential for this role. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a significant contribution to the academic and wider life of the School.
