Based in Bedford, initially for a 9-month FTC, we’re looking for a commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead exciting campaigns that drive awareness, footfall, and revenue across our vibrant pub estate in the UK and France. This is a hands-on role where strategy meets creativity. You’ll shape how our pubs show up in the market – from seasonal campaigns and menu launches to local marketing initiatives that make each pub the heart of its community.

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans (tactical and central) with specific objectives across our key trading styles in Managed UK and in France.
  • Driving consumer visiting occasions and frequency.
  • Make sure each pub has the tools to market their business locally to generate profitable sales, supporting the execution where necessary.
  • Development of food and drink offer across our key trading styles to drive volume growth.
  • Be the champion of the customer and using the insight to influence campaign, range, concept and menu development across the business.
  • Plan, create and execute marketing campaigns in line with the Marketing Calendar for seasonal promotions, events, and launches.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality design, content and promotional materials (print, video, online), working closely with external agencies and in-house content creators and designers.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance and ROI.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Digital, F&B, Events, and Operations teams to ensure marketing efforts support commercial objectives and deliver value.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and spend across channels.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Coaching and development of Marketing Executive.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, ideally in the hospitality or travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing funnel and marketing tools and platforms.
  • Proficient in content creation, social media management, and marketing automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for branding and design.
  • Comfortable analysing data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proficient with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Budget management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or InDesign.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

What’s in it for you:

  • £40‑50k
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension & Life Assurance
  • 30% discounts off dining
  • Hybrid working if needed
