Wells & Co is a Bedford-based craft brewery with a well-established Pub Partner estate, 28 managed pubs, English pubs in France, and over 140 years of history. To support our growth plans for 2025 and beyond, we are looking for a data-driven BI Analyst to help shape strategic decisions across our pub portfolio. If you are passionate about turning data into insight and insight into action, this could be the role for you.

As a BI Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across operations, marketing, and finance to deliver clear, actionable intelligence. You will be responsible for:

  • Production and ongoing maintenance of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Working with the wider Finance & IT functions to streamline, validate, and report on various data streams.
  • Continuous enhancement of reporting tools (Power BI & SQL).
  • Documentation of processes and improvement of these as identified.
  • Ensuring that all BI reports are running efficiently and effectively whilst highlighting risks to the IT & Finance departments.
  • Supporting in training head office team members on Power BI reporting and how to extract the information for future analysis.
  • Adapting a continuous improvement mentality around reporting techniques and reporting presentation.
  • Ensuring the data in the data warehouse is validated and kept up to date.
  • Providing ADHOC reporting/data to support functions.

Requirements:

  • Academic degree or equivalent in a Business, IT, or Data field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a BI or data analyst role, ideally within the hospitality or retail industry.
  • Examples of project management & development methodology.
  • Excellent experience in working with Business Intelligence tools, essentially Microsoft Power BI.
  • Proficiency in SQL / DAX / Power Query knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives.
