How you make a difference

As a Psychologist, you will provide clinical supervision and leadership to mental health services staff, while also delivering clinical mental health services including assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and treatment planning. You will demonstrate your knowledge of psychotherapeutic theories and methods, and utilise evidence-based practices to provide effective treatment interventions to clients. Your communication skills, empathy, and ability to work collaboratively with other mental health professionals will be critical in ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direct clinical services, including diagnosis, treatment of mental illness, psychological assessment/testing, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and training to staff.
  • Provides clinical supervision and leadership to mental health staff, oversees crisis intervention and suicide assessments, and participates in case staffing and quality improvement activities.
  • Ensures clinical documentation is completed professionally and in a timely manner, and maintains data regarding services rendered.
  • Collaborates with clinical and administrative supervisors to develop and implement goals and objectives for clinical services provided, and assists in developing facility policies and procedures.
  • May be asked to review psychological reports, provide staff development and training, participate in staff supervision, and arrange for 24-hour crisis intervention services, and promptly report any clinical concerns to the Program Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Doctorate in psychology

Experience: Significant professional experience in the mental health field that indicates knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments

Licenses/Certifications: Licensed or license eligible to practice psychology in Arkansas
