How You Make a Difference
Provide Compassionate Care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)! Are you a skilled and compassionate nurse ready to make a meaningful impact? As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Your expertise and dedication will directly contribute to the health and well-being of those you care for, making a positive difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment and Care Planning: Assist in the assessment of the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients and collaborate with RNs and other staff in planning individualized treatment programs.
- Treatment Program Implementation and Diagnostic Testing: Implement individualized treatment plans and obtain diagnostic tests (e.g., body fluid specimens, EKGs) according to healthcare practitioner orders, ensuring proper procedures and communication with other departments.
- Medication Administration and Safety: Administer medications according to healthcare practitioner orders, ensuring correct techniques and considering drug reactions and overdose risks, including IV therapy when certified.
- Clinical and Technical Care Implementation: Follow established policies and procedures to implement clinical and technical aspects of care, including safety techniques, and document encounters using the SOAP charting method.
- Emergency Response and Support: Respond promptly to codes or health emergencies and assist healthcare practitioners in medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Required: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Required: Minimum One (1) year of acute medical experience.
- Licenses: Required: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Practical/Vocational nurse in the state of employment or possess a multi-state compact license recognized by the State of employment to practice professional nursing.
