We are now looking for an experienced Employment Relations Advisor to join our People Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by driving a proactive, commercially focused approach to employee relations across the business.
The Role
As our Employment Relations Advisor, you will be the go-to expert for all things Employee Relations. You will partner closely with managers and leaders to provide clear, pragmatic advice while building confidence and capability to manage people matters effectively. This role is key in helping us move from reactive case handling to a more insight-led, preventative approach, supporting business performance and strengthening our culture.
What you will do:
- Employee Relations & Case Management
- Manage a varied caseload including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and conduct matters
- Provide clear, timely and commercially balanced advice to managers
- Support complex investigations, hearings and high-risk cases
- Coaching & Capability Building
- Upskill and coach managers to confidently handle ER matters
- Deliver training on investigations, hearings, absence management, performance, and more
- Data, Insight & Improvement
- Analyse ER trends to identify root causes and preventative actions
- Produce insight reports to support decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and practices
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build strong relationships across the business, including leadership teams
- Balance employee advocacy with commercial priorities
- Influence and challenge constructively to drive better outcomes
What you will need:
- Proven experience in an ER or HR Advisor role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end
- CIPD Level 5 (or above) preferred
- Background in FMCG, logistics, or fast-paced environments is advantageous
- Strong coaching and influencing skills
- Analytical, with the ability to interpret data and trends
- Resilient, solutions-focused and detail-oriented
