What You’ll Build
This is not a standard app development role. You will be working on the frontier of on-device AI and user wellness. You will gain experience in:
- Computer Vision on the Edge: Integrate cutting-edge vision technologies.
- OS Integrations: Build background services, and hooks into core OS APIs.
- High-Performance Engineering: Master async video loops, multiprocessing, and memory/CPU profiling to ensure our application is both powerful and efficient.
- LLMs & Agent Workflows: Integrate local and remote LLMs to build intelligent automations.
Your Day-to-Day
- Ship Features: Take ownership of features from design to deployment in our native Swift codebase.
- Create Efficient Architecture: Produce clean, modular, and well-tested code, participating actively in pull requests and code reviews.
- Optimize Performance: Profile and optimize video pipelines, threading, and UI performance to deliver a fluid user experience.
Minimum Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Academic Foundation: A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in software development with expertise in building applications for either iOS or macOS.
- Native iOS Mastery: Proven experience in architecting, building, and shipping high-quality native iOS/Mac applications to the App Store using Swift.
- Architectural Competence: Experience designing modular and testable codebases with CPU/Memory efficient architecture.
- AI Implementation: Hands-on experience with Vision, Core ML, CreateML, and others.
- Strong CS Fundamentals: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading (GCD/Swift Concurrency), and OS-level processes.
- Backend: Experience integrating third-party libraries and building cloud APIs on GCP. Experience with Firebase is a must.
- Modern Development Practices: Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), and Agile methodologies.
- Testing & Automation: Experience writing Unit, Integration and UI Tests (XCTest/Swift Testing). You know how to integrate tests into a CI/CD pipeline, GitHub.
- Portfolio: A portfolio of live apps on the App Store that you can share and discuss.
Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Haves)
- You code regularly in Python and C++
- Performance Tuning: Understanding of GPU/CPU optimization and advanced memory management.
- Monetization Models: Familiarity with implementing subscription-based or in-app-purchase models.
