Wellington School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated Teacher of
Geography to join our successful and ambitious team. We welcome applications from talented
educators with experience of teaching Geography across the secondary age range and a
commitment to achieving the highest standards of learning and attainment.
The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and inspiring practitioner who can deliver
engaging, challenging and intellectually stimulating lessons. They will possess the expertise,
confidence and enthusiasm to teach Geography at all levels, whilst fostering pupils' curiosity
about the world and encouraging them to think critically about the environmental, social and
economic issues that shape it.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, energy and innovation in the classroom,
inspiring pupils to fulfil their academic potential. Strong digital literacy is essential, with
confidence in the effective use of technology, interactive resources and digital learning tools
to enhance pupil engagement and achievement.

Wellington School is the only independent school in Ayrshire, teaching pupils aged 3-18.

The salary for this post will be in accordance with SNCT scales. The position is full-time and
commences in November 2026.
