Are you a data-driven, detail-focused professional with strong GP systems knowledge and a passion for improving performance? This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking, supportive primary care team where your expertise in performance monitoring, clinical systems, and contractual reporting will directly shape patient outcomes and practice success.

Working hours are 15 hours per week across 2 days per week (one day must be a Wednesday). You will lead on monitoring, analysing, and reporting the practice's contractual and operational performance, ensuring we achieve and maximise targets across key frameworks such as QOF, IIF, LES/DES, and Public Health services. Working closely with the Practice Manager, clinicians, and finance team, you'll turn data into action - building robust reporting processes, improving coding accuracy, and ensuring timely submissions and claims.

Main duties of the job
  • Develop and maintain a performance framework for contractual delivery including QOF and IIF
  • Lead data collection and reporting processes across all core contracts
  • Monitor QOF achievement and patient recall activity to maximise points
  • Ensure accurate clinical coding and reporting processes are in place
  • Manage monthly invites and follow-ups for long-term condition reviews
  • Prepare and coordinate seasonal and ad hoc vaccination campaigns (Flu, Covid, RSV, Shingles)
  • Run searches, audits, and performance analysis using the clinical system
  • Submit CQRS and other contractual returns accurately and on time
  • Import and manage Ardens searches and templates
  • Provide clear performance updates at practice meetings
  • Reconcile claims activity with payments alongside the Finance Manager
  • Oversee PPA claims processes with clinical and admin teams

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management: Develop and maintain a performance framework alongside the Practice Manager to monitor all contractual obligations including QOF and IIF.
  • Ensure all processes are in place for meeting LES/DES/Public Health services requirements and QOF indicators.
  • Manage and follow up on patient invitations for long-term condition reviews, ensuring accurate coding.
  • Lead the preparation, administration, and claims for seasonal vaccine campaigns (e.g. flu, Covid, RSV) and other vaccine initiatives (e.g. shingles).
  • Conduct ad hoc data searches and performance analyses.
  • Monitor QOF achievement and assist in meeting targets by ensuring patient reviews are rescheduled and coded appropriately.
  • Input monthly CQRS returns for ICB/Public Health services.
  • Regularly update performance data at practice meetings, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure claims and payments align.
  • Oversee PPA claims alongside the administration team and clinicians.
Person Specification

Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of EMIS and clinical coding
  • Good understanding of GP contracts and frameworks (QOF, LES/DES, IIF)
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Confident with IT systems and reporting tools
  • Skilled at analysing and interpreting data
  • Able to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Strong organisational and workload-prioritisation skills
