As Foreman on this Water Pipeline Project, you will be experienced in delivering large diameter steel weld trunkmains and engaging with the Principle Contractor and other Sub-Contractors. The Project will see the installation of 900mm diameter steel pipeline within the Peterborough area.
Our Client requires a Pipeline Foreman who is a hands-on individual, experienced at planning, organise, coordinate, order materials, supervise personnel, monitor the quality of the work, and carry out basic administrative tasks, and shall also ensure that all the work is performed safely and carried out to a high standard, in accordance with the instructions of methods of working and procedures.
Requirements:
The Foreman on this major Water Pipeline serves as an integral part of project delivery, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Plans pipeline projects by studying drawings, ordering and scheduling materials and equipment, hot works permits, bell hole inspections, PUWER checks.
- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Conduct weekly “toolbox”’ safety meetings; make sure employees are working safely and following all established safety policies, wear all site specific mandated protective equipment, including but not limited to, hard hat, hearing protection, safety-toe boots and safety glasses.
- Meets construction deadlines and maintains high working standards by following productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process and improvements.
Experience:
- Strong familiarity with the operation of heavy earthwork equipment and a strong knowledge and appreciation of OSHA requirements, and the desire to maintain safe work sites.
- Demonstrated knowledge in all phases of pipe installation, with a working knowledge of engineering layout and delivering Water Pipeline Steel Trunkmains, steel pipe fit-up and liaison with external quality inspectors.
- Preferably have Foreman experience, overseeing multiple crews of 2 – 3 individuals.
You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
