Opportunity for Electrical Engineers, to join a leading MEICA Contractor, providing innovative and sustainable engineering solutions to design, build, operate and maintain critical water and wastewater infrastructure across Ireland.

With major projects and long term frameworks within Ireland with Uisce Éireann (formally Irish Water), you will be joining our Leinster based team delivering projects within an industry experiencing rapid growth and investment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors.
Ensure compliance with Control of Electrical Works E01 and The Electricity at Work Regulations 198.9
Assist in planning and contribute to the collaborative approach adopted by the Project Team.
Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Work Instructions.
Record the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required.
Liaising between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers. Working with design teams in the production of design and construction drawings/ documentation.
Preparation and application of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Permits and other Health and Safety Documentation.
Preparation of scope documents and tender packages for additional works.
Developing containment routes and plans with subcontractors and agreeing to same.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors and composition of take-offs and agreeing on variation works including feeding back information to QS\’s on works completed and pay less notices.
Management of site personnel and subcontractors ensuring that work is conducted in line with design documentation and in accordance with contract programme.
Completion of quality checks to ensure works are in line with design outputs and ready for commissioning works.
Preparation of commissioning documentation and supervision of commissioning process.
Co-ordination of project close-out stages including snag lists and handover to the end user.Qualifications / Experience:

Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering based course.
Minimum of 3 years\’ experience, gained within site based environment, preferably in the Water & Wastewater sector.
Have previous experience writing electrical permits to work and controlling electrical health and safety on site.
Experience working with LV electrical switchgear and motor control centres.
Experience in electrical installations, cabling and building services.
Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution and presentation skills.
Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
Experience in instrumentation associated with Water & Wastewater sector is desirable but not a requirement.
A working knowledge of PLC\’s is also desirable, but not a requirement.
