Are you an experienced civil labourer, groundworker with a background in pipeline projects, power, energy, gas, or utilities? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to expand your skill set on one of the UK’s largest steel pipeline projects over a 30km stretch of farmland.

We are currently looking for skilled and experienced civil labourers, groundworkers to join our team. As a key member of the workforce, you’ll be responsible for the preparation and installation of the 800 diameter steel pipe along the pipeline spread. You’ll be working with an experienced welding team, collaborating with specialists to ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work safely and considerately on civil engineering site.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials and welding equipment.
  • Ensuring pipes are properly stored and protected.
  • Ensuring the pipeline is adequately supported and safely positioned along the line of the trench.
  • Ensure the steel pipeline is clean and prepped in advance of welding.
  • Use hand tools to ensure the ends are properly bevelled for welding.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools as required.
  • Take due care of construction machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure a safe clean environment is maintained.

Experience:

  • Previous experience on civil, energy or utility site works.
  • Demonstrate competency civil site labour or pipeline projects.
  • CSCS Card or ESUR Card Abrasive Wheels, refresher training can be arranged.
  • UK driving license.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.

In return:

  • Gain experience on steel pipelines for water infrastructure.
  • Interact with the specialist welding crews, Site Supervisor and Project Supervisor.
  • Assistance with training will be given in line with the task in hand.
  • Full time (Monday to Friday) 12 hour day from 7 – 7.
