Immediate Start - Early Application Advisable

We are recruiting for a Site Supervisor / Clerk of Works to join our client's team, supporting wastewater networks engineering activities across Northern Ireland. This role will support the work of Wastewater Networks Team and involves carrying out technical and engineering compliance of new sewer networks and extensions.

The Role

  • Meet with developers on site and act as a key point of contact.
  • Witness dye tests and support investigatory work around sewer networks.
  • Assist in checking developers' solutions once completed.
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of work in accordance with project specifications, construction drawings, and quality standards.
  • Maintain regular quality inspections and uphold Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • Maintain a detailed site diary including weather, labour and plant on site.
  • Chart actual site progress against the construction programme.
  • Raise any project concerns with the Project Manager in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-site supervision of water / wastewater engineering works.
  • Confirmation of technical compliance through onsite checks and reporting.
  • Liaising with developers and stakeholders professionally and promptly.
  • Producing clear, concise reports and maintaining thorough records.
  • Using IT systems including email and GIS tools to support project administration.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' on-site supervision experience in water / wastewater network upgrades or related civil utility works.
  • A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of watermains, sewer networks and site works.
  • Strong IT skills, including email communication; GIS experience would be beneficial.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and regulations.
  • A valid driving licence; a vehicle will be provided.
  • Current CSR / CSCS card (other training can be provided where necessary).
