One of the UK's leading Design and Build Contractors, specialising within the water sector is growing within Ireland and looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Project Commercial Manager based at our Belfast office with hybrid working available. With a number of live projects on the books and opportunities to expand through current frameworks (greater than 10 million), this is a unique opportunity to join a team delivering wastewater and bio solid solutions within a Northern Ireland footprint.
As Project Commercial Manager you will oversee the financial and contractual aspects on a project by project basis, from inception to close out reporting directly to the Project Director.
Key responsibilities:- Ensure robust estimates are aligned to project scope and make due allowance for all risks and opportunities.
- Subcontractors are properly managed in accordance with contract requirements including: compliance, communications, payments, compensation events and programme submissions.
- Ensure robust cost management is undertaken at all times including accurate live forecasting and actual costs vs estimates.
- Ensure that accurate and trusted records are kept so that all financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
To be considered for this Project Commercial Manager role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Commercial role within Civil engineering environment.
- Proven experience of contract administration NEC suite of contracts.
- A third-level qualification (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Understanding of on-site installation processes for water treatment plants would be advantageous.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
