Overview
In this role you will lead Wellington’s global compensation function, partnering with Total Rewards and senior stakeholders to design and govern market-informed pay programs. You will drive analytics, governance, and benchmarking to align compensation with business priorities and culture. You’ll advise executives on complex decisions and lead a global team to deliver high-quality, Citi-like client service and governance. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and assessment of global compensation programs in partnership with the Total Rewards Leader and stakeholders
- Oversee base pay, bonus programs, structures, benchmarking, and governance to stay competitive and aligned with business needs
- Advise senior leaders, HR, Finance, and managers on complex compensation decisions including hiring, promotions, retention, and organizational changes
- Lead the annual compensation review with governance, stakeholder engagement, and accurate execution
- Advance compensation analytics and market insights to inform decisions on equity, costs, and program effectiveness
- Provide tools and dashboards to Compensation Committees to enhance oversight of outcomes
- Lead and develop the global compensation team, set priorities, build capability, and ensure high-quality service
- Participate in industry networks to stay current with trends
- Ensure policies reflect market trends, practices, and costs
Key requirements
- Significant compensation experience in a complex global organization with expertise in design, benchmarking, pay structures, and annual processes
- Experience in investment management or financial services a plus
- Ability to advise and influence senior leaders with credibility and discretion
- Proven people leadership with talent development and engagement
- Excellent analytical skills transforming data into actionable insights
- Strong communication, project leadership, and stakeholder management across functions and geographies
- High attention to detail, good judgment, and ability to handle confidential information through change and ambiguity
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree or professional qualification is a plus
