In this role, you will lead Wellington’s business development for Institutional Wealth clients in the Netherlands, driving growth across the full product suite. You will work with cross-functional partners to shape sales strategies, cultivate long-term relationships, and expand the firm’s market presence. You will engage with pension funds, public institutions, wealth intermediaries, and insurers to deliver tailored investment solutions. Your work will support our mission of delivering investment excellence over the long term in collaboration with a global team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Dutch sales strategy for Institutional, Wealth, and Consultant prospects and clients
  • Drive growth across Wellington’s investment strategies in line with business priorities
  • Develop long-term relationships with strategic partners in collaboration with Relationship Management
  • Contribute to the development of wider industry relationships
  • Collaborate with Marketing and PR to align local marketing and sales efforts and grow brand awareness
  • Provide guidance and direction to Relationship Analysts
  • Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements

Key requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience including leadership of Institutional sales in the Dutch market
  • Proven track record of developing and managing a network of Institutional Wealth client relationships
  • Solid understanding of competitors, products, market trends, and industry developments
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies; able to influence via a content-led, consultative sales approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; action-oriented, accountable, and self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritise, remove roadblocks, and execute sales strategy in a timely manner
  • High integrity with a client-centric focus
  • Strong academic background; undergraduate degree; CFA considered favourable
